Rainfall Alert: The national capital New Delhi witnessed a hot Tuesday morning where the minimum temperature went up to 17.9 degrees Celsius. The air quality was still in the very poor category.
Rainfall Alert: The weather has deteriorated once again. It has been raining heavily in Chennai and its surrounding areas since last night. Due to this, it was decided to close the schools in the city for Tuesday. According to Chennai-based Regional Meteorological Center (RMC), cyclonic circulation of air is forming over the Bay of West Bengal. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain from November 11 till a week. This cyclonic circulation will move forward and slowly towards the coast of Tamil Nadu/Sri Lanka in the next two days.

Moderate to heavy rains occurred at many places in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Villupuram, Puducherry, and Karaikal region. Due to this, Chennai District Collector Rashmi Siddharth Jagade has declared a holiday in schools on Tuesday. But, colleges are running as per their usual time. Also, light to moderate rains or thundershowers are expected at many places in Telangana from 12 to 16 November. The Meteorological Center has said that dry weather is forecast in the state for the next 48 hours.
Rainfall Alert: Western Disturbance Active in Himachal, Chances of Rain
Currently, the weather in Himachal Pradesh is dry. But, western disturbance has become active in Jammu and Kashmir. Its effect can be seen in the high altitude areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kangra till late Monday night. Light snowfall can also occur in the upper areas. Shimla Meteorological Center Director Kuldeep Srivastava said that due to western disturbance becoming active, the temperature can fall by up to 3 degrees in some districts in the coming days. Another western disturbance is becoming active in northern India on 14-15 November, whose effect is likely to cause light rain in Chamba, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti and snowfall in high altitude areas. There has been very little rainfall in the state since the monsoon. Therefore, it is estimated that there will be 95 percent less rainfall in October and there has been no rainfall in November as well.

It was hot in the national capital New Delhi on Tuesday, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 17.9 degrees Celsius. The air quality was still in the “very poor” category. At 9 am, Delhi’s Air Quality Index was 355. The air quality in the capital’s Anand Vihar, Jahangirpuri, Wazirpur, Rohini and Mundka was in the “severe” category, where the AQI level was above 400. The humidity in Delhi at 8.30 am was 96 percent. The Meteorological Department has said that the maximum temperature of the capital can go up to 33 degrees Celsius. The air quality categories are: 0-50 good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor, and 401-500 falls in the severe category.
