LIC Bima Sakhi Yojna: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the “Bima Sakhi Yojna” of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). This calls for the appointment of two lakh female insurance agents during the course of the following three years. Women between the ages of 18 and 70 who have completed the 10th grade will be empowered by becoming insurance agents under the public sector insurance corporation LIC’s “Bima Sakhi Yojna.”
For the first three years, these women will receive specialized training aimed at raising knowledge of insurance and financial literacy. Women agents will receive Rs 7,000 per month for the first year, Rs 6,000 per month for the second year, and Rs 5,000 per month for the third year under the Bima Sakhi Yojna. Bima Sakhis will also gain from commission in addition to this. In three years, LIC intends to appoint two lakh Bima Sakhis.
These ladies are eligible to work as LIC agents after completing training. Bima Sakhis, a graduate, will have the opportunity to work for LIC as development officers. Additionally, PM Modi laid the cornerstone for Maharana Pratap Horticultural University’s Karnal main campus. The 495-acre main campus and six regional research stations would be established at a cost of more than Rs 700 crore.
According to Prime Minister Modi, the Bima Sakhi Yojana will contribute to the realization of universal insurance. It’s critical that women have adequate opportunities to advance and that all barriers are eliminated. The goal is to raise the number of “Lakhpati Didi” to three crore from the current 1.15 crore.
