Jawa 42 FJ: In India, Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles has introduced the 42 FJ. The 334cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine powering the new Jawa 42 FJ produces 29 horsepower and 29.6 Nm of peak torque. It is the same engine found in the Jawa 350.
Jawa 42 FJ: With the introduction of the 42 FJ roadster model, Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles has increased the number of Jawa 42 models available. The new Jawa 42 FJ features new color options, a larger 334cc engine, and a sportier look than the comparatively older Jawa 42. The price range (ex-showroom, Delhi) is between Rs 1.99 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh. The unveiling occurs about a month after the business unveiled the upgraded Jawa 42, which is currently available for purchase.
The 42 FJ has a thinner fuel tank (with a brushed aluminum finish and a ‘Jawa’ decal), a redesigned single-piece seat, and a single-piece handlebar, whereas the changes for the previous Jawa 42 were mostly restricted to engine tweaks. The diamond-cut alloy wheels appear to be taken from the 42 Bobber, while the fenders and side panels are very similar to the standard 42. Upswept dual exhausts and a split grab rail are two further design elements. The Jawa 42 FJ has all-LED lighting, an offset speedometer, a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, an assist and slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS as standard.
Jawa 42 FJ: Engine
The 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the Jawa 350 is also used in the new Jawa 42 FJ. The 334cc Alpha-2 engine of the Jawa 350 produces 22.2 bhp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 28.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm, whereas the Jawa 42 FJ’s engine produces 29 horsepower and 29.6 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed transmission manages the transmission’s functions.
Jawa 42 FJ : Braking
The Jawa 42 FJ is equipped with a double cradle tubular frame, telescopic front fork, and rear shock absorbers that can be adjusted in five steps for preload. Brembo discs are used for braking. The bike has alloy or wire-spoked wheels with rubber tires wrapped around them.
