Anil Ambani Reliance Power : SECI issued a statement on Thursday saying that in the last round of bidding, a fake bank guarantee was given by the company, after which these companies have been banned. SECI, a unit of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, had cancelled the last round of bidding after finding irregularities in the bank guarantee by Reliance Power’s subsidiary company.
The Solar Energy Corp of India (SECI) has banned businessman Anil Ambani’s company Reliance Power Ltd and its subsidiaries from bidding for any future tenders for three years.

SECI has taken this action because Anil Ambani’s companies had submitted fake bank guarantee for the tender. SECI issued a statement on Thursday saying that fake bank guarantee was given by the company in the last round of bidding, after which these companies have been banned. SECI, a unit of the New and Renewable Energy Ministry, had canceled the last round of bidding after finding irregularities in the bank guarantee by Reliance Power’s subsidiary company.
Anil Ambani Reliance Power : SECI Cancels Tender Process After Finding Fake Bank Guarantee Submitted by Maharashtra Energy Generation Limited (Now Reliance NU BESS Limited)
SECI has said in the notice that the documents submitted by the bidder Maharashtra Energy Generation Limited, now Reliance NU BESS Limited, were investigated, on the basis of which it was found that the bank guarantee (issued by a foreign bank) required for the tender was fake. Now since this irregularity was found after the e-reverse auction, SECI was forced to cancel the tender process.
As per the tender conditions, due to submission of fake documents, the bidder will not be able to bid for future tenders of SECI. The bidder company is a subsidiary of Reliance Power, it had fulfilled the financial eligibility requirements by using the powers of the parent company.
