Like the previous three seasons, a total of 74 matches will be played in the IPL 2025 season. But the number of matches can increase in the next seasons. There can be 84 matches in IPL 2026, and by the 2027 season this number can increase to 94. The reason for the increase in matches can be media rights. If you remember IPL 2024, then this tournament started on 22 March and went on till 26 May, in which KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final.
