UAE banned Pakistani citizens: What did the Pakistani Ambassador say?
The Pakistani Embassy in the UAE has shared a video on its X (Twitter) account. In this post, Pakistan’s ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi is saying, “Efforts are being made to solve the issue of Pakistanis not getting visa. If visa has to be obtained, Pakistanis should have return ticket, hotel booking and 3000 dirhams. We have also told FIA that those people whose faces show that they do not have work visa and are not going for tourism but for some other purpose, they should not only be stopped but a ban should be imposed on them.”
UAE banned Pakistani citizens: Why did UAE impose a ban on Pakistanis?
Actually, Pakistani citizens were found involved in breaking visa rules in UAE. They were accused of misbehavior on social media, travelling with fake documents and being involved in criminal activities in UAE. According to *Dawn News*, UAE officials put forward these complaints in a meeting between the Pakistani ambassador and local officials. Due to these matters, the UAE Cabinet proposed to impose a ban on Pakistani citizens. The Pakistani Embassy has shared this matter with Islamabad through official documents.

UAE officials highlighted some of the reasons behind the rising tensions. They said that some Pakistani nationals are involved in political activities and protests inside the UAE, which is a direct violation of Emirati law. Also, critical posts by some Pakistanis on social media about the policies of the UAE government have further fuelled the unrest. Cases of document fraud among job seekers, such as fake degree verifications and fake identity cards and passports, have also come to light.

Officials also highlighted that Pakistani nationals have been found to be involved in more criminal activities than other expatriate communities. These include crimes related to theft, fraud, begging, prostitution and drugs. UAE’s zero-tolerance policy against actions that compromise security and stability shows its seriousness. UAE said that these issues were discussed in the Cabinet meeting, after which it was decided to impose visa restrictions on Pakistani nationals.
