New Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG : The India launch of the new generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire sedan is set to take place on 11 November. It will get refreshed styling, new features and the same Z series engine that powers the Swift. Talking about the powertrain, there will be two options at the time of launch – petrol with a 5-speed MT or AMT and CNG which will come only in the MT variant. The petrol model will have a mileage of 24.79–25.71 km/l, while the CNG model will have a fuel economy of 33.73 km/kg, which is more fuel-efficient than the old model. Both these figures are claimed.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG : Features and Variants
Under the hood, the new Dzire CNG will get a 69bhp 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that will come with a factory-installed CNG kit. The torque output will be 102Nm. On one hand, the upcoming Dzire will offer a more fuel-efficient CNG version, but on the other hand, you will also get a more powerful petrol model with 80bhp and 112Nm of torque. The CNG model will be available in the VXi and ZXi variants, while the petrol-powered Dzire will be available in the LXi and ZXi+ variants.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG: Exterior, Interior
In terms of design, the Suzuki Dzire CNG will get a wide grille (with horizontal slats), LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, and body-coloured doors and outside rearview mirrors. It will also have 15-inch alloy wheels and chrome accents. Talking about the interior, it will get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, push-button start/stop, 6-speaker sound system, and wireless charger. Safety features will include electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitor, 6 airbags, and ABS with EBD. A rear parking camera will be provided in this model, while the petrol version will have the option of a 360-degree camera.
The new Dzire could be priced from around Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and the upcoming Honda Amaze, which will be launched on 4 December.
